Market

Market is the Auction House, read and recorded. MUTher never bids and never posts — every number on the page is an observation with a time on it.

Sold is not asking

This is the distinction the whole page is built to protect.

• Sold is what a buyer actually paid, in an auction MUTher watched close. Sold figures carry the coin glyph and the word collected.
• Asking is what a seller wants right now. Asking figures are quieter, never carry the coin glyph, and use the word observed.

They never share a label, a clock or a colour, and they are never averaged together.

A card's price page

• Median sold · last 30 days — the headline, from the sales MUTher watched close, with how many sales it stands on and when they were collected.
• Day over day — a percentage against the previous day that carried an observed sale, with the two days and the two prices printed underneath so the figure is checkable. A fall is not drawn in red; a price going down is not an error. When there are not two such days, it says no day-over-day change yet rather than inventing a zero.
• On the market now — cheapest buy now, median asking, live listing count, and EA's own listing band, which is the range EA will accept a post inside.
• Live auctions — asking prices, counting down from the moment MUTher saw them. Nobody selling is a real answer about supply, not a price of zero.
• Recent sales — at most ten confirmed sales, newest first, each with how precisely MUTher knows *when*: closed on its own timer, or seen already closed, in which case the time is an upper bound.
• Quicksell or auction — see below.
• Statistics — mean and the quartiles, over the newest sales in the window. Under three sales MUTher quotes none of them.
• Sales volume — how many sales MUTher saw in the last hour, day, week and month. Every count is a lower bound: EA returns only a few recently closed auctions per read, so a card that turns over faster than MUTher polls it sells more often than this shows.
• Price history — one point per day that carried an observed sale. Days with no sale are absent, not zero.
• Recently closed — EA's own list of auctions that ended. Nothing in EA's answer says whether a row sold or expired unsold, so MUTher never counts these as sales and never prices against them.

Provenance: how MUTher knows a card sold

EA never says. Its list of ended auctions carries no sale flag and no sale time, so MUTher works it out from what it watched itself:

• An auction that vanished before its timer ran out was bought outright — only a buy-now ends an auction early. The price is the buyout.
• An auction that ran to expiry with bids sold at the last bid.
• An auction that ran to expiry with no bids did not sell.
• An auction MUTher never saw live, with bids on it when it ended, sold — but the time MUTher can prove is the poll that noticed, so it is stamped as an upper bound.

Only rows it can call a sale reach the median, the statistics and the recommendation.

Quicksell or auction

The verdict is List it, Quicksell it or Not enough to say, with three figures under it: the quicksell EA pays, what an auction nets after tax, and the ratio between them.

The tax rate MUTher uses is 10%, and it is assumed — no MUTher capture establishes EA's actual auction fee, and EA's own fee fields read zero on every card. The page says so, every time, right under the number: the net is an estimate, never EA's stated cut.

A card EA marks bound or untradeable gets no posting advice at all. The live auctions above it are other copies of the card — evidence about the card, not a post you can make.

"Not enough sales"

MUTher needs three watched closes before it will quote a price. Under that it says what it actually has:

Not enough sales yet. MUTher has watched 1 sale of this card close, and it quotes no price under 3.

In the browse table the Sold 30d column shows "1 sale" rather than a price, and rather than "no data" — because one watched sale is a real, useful fact, and a zero would be a lie. The live listings beside it still work: what is on the market right now does not depend on how many sales MUTher has seen.

Reading limits

MUTher allows ten live Auction House reads every ten minutes per account, so EA never sees a burst from one player. The counter is in the page header. Opening a card you looked at in the last five minutes is served from what MUTher already saw and costs nothing.

Separately, MUTher polls the cards in your lineup about once an hour and the rest of your binder every six hours in the background. That is where the collected sold prices come from, and it costs you no reads.
